AI consulting · Built in production · Used daily

Your workflow, automated. Your product, built right.

I automate the repetitive tasks eating your team's time — and build proprietary versions of the tools you already depend on, tailored to how you actually work. This is orbovance — a personal finance app built to my exact requirements. The same approach, applied to your business.

There are already apps for that. None of them are yours.

The problem isn't a lack of tools — it's that every tool is another subscription built for someone else's workflow. Your AI subscription can build the proprietary one instead.

The SaaS subscription trap

Another app, another monthly fee — just to log your data
Built for the average user, not your actual workflow
You adapt to the tool. The tool never adapts to you.
Insights locked behind paywalls or missing entirely
Stack grows. Costs compound. None of it fits together.

Build proprietary on what you already pay for

Use your existing AI subscription to build the tool, not rent one
Shaped to your requirements — not a generic feature set
Part of a personal stack, not a standalone SaaS island
All the data. Your logic. Your answer format.
One build. Yours permanently. No recurring seat fee.

Watch it work.

A real finance question. A simulated AI response — the live AI assistant runs in the production app.

orbovance
Simulated AI · Live in production

User: Can I afford a weekend trip next month? Thinking around $600.

Orbovance: Looking at your last 30 days — you're tracking $340 under your usual discretionary budget. That's already a good sign.

Orbovance: One thing: your car insurance renews on the 14th — that's $218 you haven't accounted for yet.

User: Right, forgot about that. So what's the real number?

Orbovance: After insurance: you have ~$480 of flex before you touch savings. A $600 trip puts you $120 into savings — doable if you want, but worth knowing.

Orbovance: Want me to show you which categories you could tighten by $120 this month?

Insight from your data: Dining out is $134 under last month — that's your $120 right there.

Note: These AI responses are simulated. The live AI assistant only runs in the production app, where it connects to your real accounts.

What you're watching

A real finance scenario, scripted to show you how Orbovance thinks.

The question — “can I afford this trip?” — is one Orbovance answers automatically. It pulls your actual spending history, spots the fixed cost you forgot (insurance renewal), and gives you the real number with context, not just a calculator answer.

The real product connects to your own data. The AI voice and the insight card format are faithful to what you'll see when you try it.

Warm-coach voicePlain English, never jargon, never alarm.
Full contextInsurance, spending trends, savings — all weighed.
Specific answer~$480 flex. Not “it depends.” Not a chart.

No account required. Read-only, fictional sample data.

The full picture.

The standalone chat is one moment. The real app shows both panels working together — your financial dashboard and the AI rail, side by side.

Simulated AI · Live in production

Built in production

A real product, running on real infrastructure.

Orbovance isn't a prototype or a demo project. It's a full-stack personal finance application — auth, billing, row-level security, AI receipt extraction, and scheduled automation — built and maintained solo, used daily.

The seeded demo account you see in these screenshots has the same infrastructure backing it as any live user. One codebase, env-var-switched between demo and live.

The same stack that runs Orbovance — available to automate your workflow.

I don't build generic AI demos. I automate the parts of your workflow that take too long — or I build a proprietary version of a tool you already use, shaped exactly to how your business operates. Orbovance is the proof: a proprietary personal finance system built to my own requirements. I do this for other products and teams.

Frontend · Deployment

Next.js + Vercel

Full app deployed on Vercel. Demo and live are the same codebase, env-var-switched. Two-deployment architecture with NEXT_PUBLIC_DEMO_MODE=true switching read-only mode and fictional sample data.

What you see in the demo is the same codebase that runs the live product.

Auth · Database · Storage

Supabase

Row Level Security at the Postgres level — data isolation is database-enforced, not just application-enforced. Auth handles sessions. Storage handles receipt photos.

RLS policies are the data boundary. No application-layer trust.

AI Reasoning

Claude / Anthropic

Receipt extraction, plain-English explanations, and freeform queries from real user data. I use Claude — but this layer is provider-agnostic. On a consulting build, you choose the model: Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini, or a self-hosted alternative.

The architecture works with any provider. The choice is yours.

Email

Resend

All transactional email — password resets, contact form relay, weekly nudges. Contact form on demo routes to inbox within seconds. Template-based, not hardcoded strings.

Try it: contact form on this page routes live.

Billing

Stripe

Subscription billing for Plus and Pro tiers. Webhook-as-billing-SSOT pattern: customer.subscription.updated is the entitlement source of truth. App never trusts its own DB for feature gates.

The billing architecture is the same pattern I apply in consulting builds.

Automation

pg_cron

Scheduled jobs inside Postgres — no external task queue, no Lambda, no separate worker. Monthly roll-ups, subscription-expiry sweeps, recurring-transaction detection.

One moving part fewer. The architecture principle behind every automation I build.

This is what end-to-end automation consulting actually looks like. Not a presentation about AI. A production app with real users, real billing, real row-level security, and real AI reasoning — built and maintained solo. The same approach is available to your business: automate the workflow, build the proprietary tool, ship it to production.

One operator. One real production product. End to end. Available for your workflow.

Two paths forward.

Try the product yourself. Or let's talk about what I can automate for yours.

Path A

Try the demo

Walk through Orbovance yourself. Seeded demo account — no login, no bank connection, no install. See the AI in action on real (fictional) data.

Path B

Automate your workflow

If you have a repetitive process that takes too long, or a tool you depend on that should be tailored to your business — I build it. End-to-end, in production. Let's talk about what that looks like for your team.
